Château LA CLOSERIE DU GRAND POUJEAUX 1925
The vineyard of Château La Closerie du Grand-Poujeaux, cru Bourgeois in the 1932 classification, dates from the mid-19th century and the reputation of this estate has continued to assert itself since then. Château La Closerie du Grand-Poujeaux now belongs to the SEGUIN-BACQUEY family who are committed to perpetuating the tradition of quality that the former owner, Mlle Marguerite Douat, had herself faithfully observed. Respectable age vines - many are now in their forties - allow this tradition to continue. The wines of Château La Closerie du Grand-Poujeaux are powerful, harmoniously constituted. With an elegant tannic structure, they have a velvety texture that makes them particularly distinguished.
This Cru Bourgeois La Closerie du Grand-Poujeaux classified in 1932, still deserves the mention of "Cru Grand Bourgeois Exceptionnel" that the Syndical Palmarès awarded to it in 1966.
