In this Fronsac from the Château de la Dauphine, Guillaume Halley, recently advised by Michel Rolland, invites 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, from a clay-limestone terroir of molasses from Fronsadais. These relatively poor and well-drained soils are perfectly suited to the 2 grape varieties of this cuvée.
The harvest is manual and undergo a drastic double sorting before vinification in thermoregulated concrete vats and aging for 12 months in oak barrels which are 1/3 new.
