Château La Garde, whose origins date back to the 18th century, was taken over in the 90s by Dourthe, seduced by the exceptional quality of its terroir, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful gravel hills in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. The viticulture practiced is commensurate with the qualitative ambitions. Meticulous green work is carried out to help control the yields and vigor of each plant. Château La Garde is one of the first wine properties to have adopted the “integrated production” approach, which enables the production of high quality grapes while respecting the environment and people. Powerful, rich in color, the reds of Château La Garde are wines for long aging thanks to their structure and concentration. Round and supple, seductive, they express the elegance and finesse of the terroir.
