The Château de La Rivière covers 85 hectares including 60 hectares of vines. It dominates the Dordogne valley which provides it with very favorable natural climatic regulation. The clay-limestone terroir is dominant with two types of exposure: vines located on the limestone plateau and others on the coast, facing south, on molasse soils. The Château de La Rivière is home to limestone quarries over an area of 8 hectares, ideal for aging wine in barrels and storing bottles.
