TERRE DES CHARDONS "Bien Luné" - Biodynamics 2016

Terroir anchored between the vineyards of the Rhône and those of Languedoc, the Costière de Nîmes appellation covers an area of around 4,000 hectares in the north of the Camargue. The maritime influence on this Mediterranean climate works wonders on Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.

The slopes of the southern zone offer powerful wines with beautiful tannins while they are found more supple and fresh on the slopes facing the scrubland of Nîmes.

Terre des Chardons is a confidential 9 hectare vineyard located in Bellegarde, between Nîmes and Arles. A family business, dynamic and innovative winegrowers, the Chardon family works with respect for nature by cultivating its vines biodynamically since the acquisition of land in 1999. The vines flourish in an ideal setting, on a plateau covered with rolled pebbles. , sunny and slightly windy.

A velvety wave filled with red fruits. A surge of sensations; delicate tannins with a crunchy palate. “Bien luné” is a subtle surprise, a find that deserves to be known! Named after a nod to the lunar calendar, this cuvée offers a pleasant, supple and fruity wine, to be drunk chilled or at room temperature in all seasons.

The secret of the cellar master: combine grains rigorously selected by hand and vinified as a whole harvest with a very light extraction to preserve the fruit without extracting too much tannins.
