Les Landes setting Château Tigné 1989 - ANJOU wine
Owned by Gerard Depardieu, Château de Tigné is a fine Anjou wine.
Halfway between Angers and Saumur, in the heart of Anjou, the Château de Tigné has resisted the assaults of time for ten centuries. Scars of the wars of religion and the revolution, marks of men who loved or betrayed, Tigné is a bruised castle.
The vines have always surrounded him and are part of him. In 1878 in his dictionary of the Loire Valley, Celestin Port noted that: "Huge vaulted cellars house the harvest of a considerable vineyard whose red wines are considered to be the best in the region".
It was in 1989 that Mr. Gérard Depardieu acquired Château Tigné.
