J. Bally is located in Carbet, Martinique not far from the Pelee mountain. The origins of J. Bally date back to 1917 when Jacques Bally bought a sugar company then in ruins, the house Lajus (whose creation dates back to the 1670s). A true visionary, this young engineer from École Centrale de Paris then equips him with a steam engine and a Creole column of his own, inspired by the processes used to make fine spirits such as Cognac. He becomes one of the pioneers of aging techniques of agricultural rums. In order to strengthen his brand, he decided to offer his production a strong identity that goes through a bottle with a unique design first pyramid-shaped and then square. Today Saint-James distills rum Bally.
This 2006 vintage is an aged farm rum that has been bottled in the famous Pyramide brand bottle. For the 70th anniversary of Maison Velier, the most famous Rum bottler and distributor in Italy, the house has called on the care of Marc Sassier for the creation of this rum which will have aged 11 years in oak barrels before being bottled for this limited edition.
