The historic cellar of the Marchesi di Barolo house is located in the town of Barolo, in the heart of the Langhe region. It originally belonged to the Marquis Falletti who since 1810 produced wines from his vineyards in Nebbiolo, the latter supported by his wife: Juliette Colbert de Maulévrier. Upon his death, the Abbona family bought the cellar next to the Château du Marquis and undertook to improve wine production. Even today, it is this same family that has run the Marchesi di Barolo house for more than five generations. Their wines are renowned around the world for their elegance.
