Cesare Pio was one of the first to believe in the potential and the high quality of Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera but also other great wines from Piedmont. At the end of the 19th century, he was once again a pioneer among winegrowers to produce these wines with a philosophy devoted to the terroir and the quality of the latter. The winery was founded in 1881 and this family has been producing Piedmontese wines for five generations. Pio Cesare owns more than 50 hectares of vines in the most qualitative and coveted appellations, the production of which is deliberately limited in order to maintain a certain requirement.
The brilliant expression of a Barolo Pio Cesare in a classic style For more than 135 years, the Pio Cesare house has perpetuated with passion and tradition the art of winemaking in the cellars of the historic house, located near Alba, in Piedmont in Italy.
