Château Rocher Corbin - The Promises 2014
Created in 2005, the second wine of Rocher Corbin comes from the youngest vines of the property. A beautiful, brilliant color and a delicate nose of red fruits announce, on the palate, a harmonious structure of exquisite freshness. It is a nice gourmet wine to share with friends.
With the Roman conquest which began in the year 56 BC, the first vines were planted in the region of Saint-Emilion. The marriage of Eleanor of Aquitaine with King Henry II, in 1152, brought Aquitaine under English rule. This period promotes the development of the vineyard.
The domain of Rocher Corbin is a former smallholding of the Corbin castle, stronghold of the Lord of Corbin in the Middle Ages.
This property was acquired in the 1880s by Charles Durand.
Rocher Corbin has been passed on for 4 generations, from father to son, with the same passion for vines and wine.
Since 1986, Philippe Durand has dedicated himself to the modernization of the property, with the greatest respect for the terroir, the environment, and the traditional practices of vine cultivation. Its goal: to produce on this exceptional terroir one of the greatest wines of the appellation.
