Château La Courtiade Pey Vergès - Dry white 2018
Our father Jean Pierre Peyvergès created Vignobles Peyvergès in 1965. Winemaker from father to son in another French region, he chose to settle in Bordeaux, between Langon and La Réole, on the slopes overlooking the Garonne, to develop his passion for the land and for wine. By planting high-quality grape varieties and implementing cutting-edge winemaking methods, he has always strived for a single objective: the most intense qualitative expression of his terroir.
Always relentless in his permanent quest for quality, he has been attentive to creating wines that meet the new expectations of consumers while respecting the environment.
We, Alexis and Pascal, took over from him in 1999. Always anxious to obtain quality wines thanks to methods always more respectful of the Environment and Health, we have planted new plots, made changes in cultivation and winemaking systems in order to make the most of the most recent discoveries in the wine and oenological fields.
This is how we decided in 2009 to convert the cultivation of the vineyard but also the vinification to organic farming techniques. Through our ECOCERT certification and our membership of the “Organic Wine Charter”, we guarantee our wine lovers a general taste quality obtained without the use of synthetic products, whether in the vineyard or in the cellar. In addition, we operate on our 13.5 hectares a rigorous selection of plots of vines to harvest healthy fruit at perfect maturity.
Finally, the assembly of wines from different terroirs creates the perfect balance between aromatic complexity, concentration and elegance.
