Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur - Clos de Vougeot grand cru 2016
Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur, located in Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, was born from the sharing of the estate of Louis Gros in 1963.
Originally, the Estate brought together, in the family house, the heritage of two of its four children, Colette and Gustave.
When Gustave died in 1984, Bernard Gros, their nephew, took over alongside Colette.
Bernard successively replanted all the plots. He increased the estate by 12 ha by creating in the hamlet of Concoeur and Corboin (located above Vosne-Romanée), a plot in the Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits appellation in high vines (9 ha in red, pinot noir - 3 ha in white, chardonnay).
The Domaine's vocation is to produce wines that respect the terroir while reconciling the best of modernity. The property now has 20 hectares of vines divided into 8 appellations.
