Clos des Reboussiers - Pic Saint Loup 2016
Clos des Reboussiers (formerly Christophe Peyrus) is located in Cazevieille, in the Languedoc . The estate was founded in 1999 on the southern slope of Pic Saint Loup and changed its name in 2020 following the installation of a new team. The vineyard extends over 8.5 hectares of vines at an altitude of 270 meters and the terroir is made up of flint limestone. The property has always been managed organically and biodiversity is respected by the presence of fruit trees, truffle oaks and plant cover on the estate's plots.
The Pic-Saint-Loup 2016 is assembled from Syrah (80%) and Grenache (20%) whose average age varies between 15 and 20 years. The harvest is manual and 60 to 70% of the bunch is not destemmed during vinification. The aging is carried out in truncated cone barrels for 20 months .
