Domaine Marc Delienne - Avalanche de Printemps 2018
The Domaine Marc Delienne is located in Fleurie, in the Beaujolais region. Marc Delienne bought the 14-hectare property in January 2015 to create his new activity there. Passionate about wine, he worked in Paris in the IT sector and decided to leave the capital to learn the profession of winemaker alongside Eloi Dürrbach from the renowned Domaine de Trévallon. He continued his apprenticeship with Alain Graillot at Domaine de Fa. A quickly constructed winery, the conversion to organic farming is immediately started in order to acquire organic certification as soon as possible, also applying the principles of biodynamics. The vinifications are carried out in a gentle way and as naturally as possible.
Avalanche de Printemps is a cuvée specially designed for early bottling. It comes from a blend of old Gamay vines from 40 to 80 years old, cultivated in the South-East of the Fleurie vineyard. Maceration in whole bunches is carried out in concrete tanks. No punching down is done, only slight daily pumping over. The aging takes place in concrete tanks directly from the pressing.
Grape variety: 100% Gamay
