POESIA - Clos des Andes - Malbec 2011
Bodega Poesia is located in the region of Mendoza, Argentina. It belongs to Patrice Lévèque and his wife Hélène Garcin. They own three properties in Saint-Emilion: Château Barde-Haut, Clos L’Eglise and Poesia, as well as the Château d’Arce in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. Bodega Poesia was founded in 2000, when Hélène Garcin was looking for a property of her own. She discovered a small vineyard located between Mendel and Cheval des Andes: 13 hectares of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Bodega Poesia vineyard is located 900 meters above sea level, in the Lujan de Cuyoappellation. The old Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted in 1935 and are surrounded by 200-year-old olive trees. The vineyard is managed in sustainable and organic agriculture. A meeting between two cultures, two traditions.
Le Clos des Andes is made from Malbec, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new.
Grape variety: 100% Malbec
