The Domaine de Clovallon is located in Bédarieux, in the Pays de l’Hérault in the Languedoc. It has been owned by Catherine Roque since the late 1980s and she now manages the estate with her daughter Alix. The Domaine spreads over 12 hectares, entirely managed in certified organic farming. Catherine Roque was one of the first to cultivate Pinot Noir in Languedoc, after having pleaded its case with ONIVINS which accepts, after conclusive experiments, to authorise this grape variety in the production of wines from Pays d'Oc. The vineyard is located on an high altitude terroir in the Orb Valley and a limestone cliff to the south isolates the vineyard from the hot air masses of the coast, as well as the varieties not usual in the region (Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay…) grow perfectly there. Catherine Roque also owns the Mas d'Alezon in Faugères since 1997.
