Château Cantinot 2014
Château Cantinot is located in Cars, in the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. After a life devoted to the maritime world, Yann Bouscasse acquired the Château in 2002, with his wife Florence. Since then, of the four children, two will join the ship, which now has 27 hectares, with the purchase of Châteaux Haut-Boutet and Château Capron. Nicolas, the youngest, for the technique in the vineyard and in the cellar until 2017, and Tristan, the youngest, for management and trade.
Château Cantinot 2014 is the First Wine of the Château, the first vintage of which was released in 2002. It is a classic blend of Merlot (55%), Cabernet Sauvignon (35%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). The wine undergoes cold maceration for 5 to 8 days, followed by slow fermentation for 15 to 20 days. A few punching downs and pumping over are carried out, and the malolactic fermentation takes place under the marc. The wine is aged for 14 months in wooden foudre.
