Bourbon - Blanton's Straight from the Barrel - 63.80%

Blanton's is a brand of bourbon produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky , USA . In the winter of 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born into one of the first families in the history of Bourbon. At the age of 16, he started working in the family distillery as an office boy and quickly became a major pioneer in the development of Bourbon. From his appointment as company president in 1921 until his retirement in 1952, his distillery grew from 44 to 144 buildings to become the largest distillery of its day. During this period Colonel Blanton created his very special and limited stock of Bourbon - his private reserve - handpicked and stored in what is now known as the famous Warehouse H. Colonel Blanton died in Spring 1959, but his legacy lives on. Introduced in 1984, Blanton's, a Bourbon Single Barrel, was the first of its kind to be sold commercially.

This Bourbon was taken from barrel n°142 on February 25, 2020. It was stored in warehouse H on Rick n°16. It is bottled at 63.8% ABV.
