Bourbon - Blanton's Single Barrel #454 - French Connections - 60%
Blanton’s is a brand of Bourbon produced by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, United States. In the winter of 1881, Albert Bacon Blanton was born into one of the first families in the history of Bourbon. At the age of 16, he began working in the family distillery as an office boy and quickly became a major pioneer in the development of Bourbon. From his appointment as company president in 1921 until his retirement in 1952, his distillery grew from 44 to 144 buildings to become the largest distillery of its time. During this time, Colonel Blanton created his very special and limited Bourbon stock - his private reserve - handpicked and stored in what is now known as the famous Warehouse H. Colonel Blanton died in Spring 1959, but his legacy remains. Introduced in 1984, Blanton’s, a Bourbon Single Barrel, is the first of its kind to be commercially sold.
This Bourbon was selected for La Maison du Whisky for the French Connections range. It was dumped from barrel No. 454 on September 9, 2020. It was stored in warehouse H on rick No. 7 and bottled at 60%.
