Chateau de Pajzos - Furmint Late Harvest - Moelleux 2018
Château Pajzos is located in Sarospatak, in the region of Tokaj in Hungary. It was established in 1991 when the late Jean-Michael Arcaute and Jean-Louis Laborde launched the Renaissance of Tokaji. They led a group of 12 wine lovers and acquired Château Pajzos, carrying out the same year the first “private enterprise” harvest and vinification. The château also purchased the Megyer winery at the end of 1999 and draws from these vineyards for the production of some of their wines. Today, the 100-hectare domaine (with 55 hectares of vineyards) is under the sole ownership of the Laborde family, who also owns Château Clinet in Pomerol.
The Tokaj Late Harvest F is made from Furmint harvested from the end of October until mid-November. The whole bunches of ripened berries were pressed in whole and aged for 6 months in stainless steel.
Grape variety: 100% Furmint
