Version Française - Armorik 2014 - 50%
Version Française is a La Maison du Whisky négoce range, made up of French spirits. The aim is to favour short circuits and encourage local consumption.
Warenghem was the first French distillery to embark on the whisky production in 1983. Since the introduction of its first Single Malt in 1998, the distillery has continued to refine its mastery in terms of production. It is equipped with two stills; a wash still of 6,000 litres and a spirit still of 3,500 litres. The whisky was distilled in 2014 and the maturing cask selected for the Version Française range reflects the Celtic heritage of the distillery: it is a Single Malt matured in a barrel that contained second-fill Olorosso sherry, having welcomed a distillate intensely smoked by Scottish peat. It comes from a Single Cask which produced 811 bottles.
