AMRUT - Fusion X 2021 - 50%
Amrut Fusion
The bottle is made of collectible porcelain, decorated with a beautiful print and sketch, made by one of the biggest names in ceramics in England: Wade. A great gift idea to give to a friend who loves Indian whiskey... and an esthete.
The Amrut Distillery is located in Kambipura, India . The company was founded in 1947 by Shri JN Radhakrishna, just before India's independence. Initially, its business focused on supplying alcohol to the Indian army. Today, the company is based in Bangalore and bottles its products in five other states. The Single Malt range was launched in 2004 and in 2010, Amrut Fusion received the “Third Best Whiskey in the World” award in Jim Murray's Whiskey Bible. The whiskeys are made from barley grown in the Himalayan mountains. Amrut's master blender estimates that one year of aging in hot, humid Indian cellars is equivalent to around three years in Scotland. Around 12% of the spirit is lost each year through evaporation (La Part des Anges) compared to around 2% in Scotland. Single Malt represents only a small part of the total production: amber rum, brandy, vodka, gin and blend are also produced.
The pioneers of India's Single Malt revolution and the makers of iconic brands such as Fusion, Spectrum, Naarangi and Amalgam are celebrating the 10th anniversary of India's flagship Single Malt whisky: Amrut Fusion. To commemorate this historic day, the Bangalore-based distillery is launching a special limited edition Single Malt whisky, Fusion X (ten) , across the world. Fusion X whiskey is created after further maturing of Amrut Fusion for a period of 4 years in PX Sherry casks .
