Domaine Pierre Vaisse - Hasard 2020
Domaine Vaïsse is located in Puechabon, in the Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc. It has been managed by Pierre Vaïsse since 1999, who then owned only two hectares of vines which he had inherited from his parents. He produced his first vintage in 2007. Today his vineyard covers 16 hectares, mainly planted with red grape varieties: 14.5 hectares compared to only 1.5 hectares of Viognier. It was helped by great winemakers: Frédéric Pourtalié from Domaine Montcalmès, Xavier Braujou from Terrasses d’Elise and Laurent Vaillé from La Grange des Pères. He is renowned for maturing his wines for long periods, generally more than 24 months.
Hasard is made entirely from Viognier. After destemming, the harvest is put in direct pressing then the aging lasts 6 months in stainless steel vats.
Grape variety: 100% Viognier
