Château Carbonneau - Sequoia 2018
Château Carbonneau is located in Gensac, between Saint-Emilion and Bergerac in the Bordeaux wine region. The oldest known owner is Jacques Fouignet-Verbacle, in 1823. The Château was built from 1860 by the Bachan family. The end of the 19th century marks the golden age of Bordeaux wine. At that time, the Grand Larousse in seven volumes mentioned Château Carbonneau as "a vintage of good Bordeaux wines". Since 1992, Jacqueline and Wilfrid Franc De Ferrière have operated the wine property and have since modernised the winery and restored the château to receive guests.
Sequoia is a blend of Cabernet Franc (71%), Merlot (25%) and Malbec (4%). The wine is aged for 10 months in French barrels.
