Domaine Laurent Tribut Dauvissat - Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet 2019
Domaine Laurent Tribut is located in Poinchy in the Chablis appellation, in Burgundy. It was created in 1987 by Laurent Tribut, the husband of Marie-Clothilde Dauvissat, a very renowned family of winegrowers. Laurent began by making his wines in the cellars of the Dauvissat family for 10 years before setting up his own cellar. Years earlier, the Dauvissats had bought excellent vineyards in Chablis, adjoining their own Premiers Crus to give their children the opportunity to become winegrowers, this is how Marie-Clothilde and Laurent Tribut took over these vineyards. Today, he cultivates 8 hectares of vines, mainly in Chablis Villages but also owns a few Premier Cru plots in Beauroy, Montmains and Côte de Léchet. His children, Solange, Adeline and Gabriel joined the family business as talented winemakers. They follow the traditional methods of harvesting and fermentation learnt with the Dauvissat. The vineyard is managed in sustainable agriculture.
The Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet is made from Chardonnay from 2 different plots over 0.8 hectares of Premier Cru Côte de Léchet. The whole bunches are directly pressed delicately. Fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Aging lasts 6 months in stainless steel vats, then 12 months in barrels of several use.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
