Château LOUPIAC-GAUDIET 2018
Château Loupiac-Gaudiet is located in Loupiac, in the appellation of the same name in Bordeaux. In 1919, the Château was sold to the Ducau family. This is how the family story with Loupiac-Gaudiet begins, a meeting punctuated by 6 successive generations. It was in 1986 that Marc Ducau proposed to his nephew, Daniel Sanfourche, to join him in this adventure. Today the whole family works hand in hand at the property: Daniel the father, Marie-Laurence the mother and Nicolas the son. The 30-hectare vineyard is located around the Château and benefits from a southern exposure. The very old vines are planted on hillsides overlooking the Garonne, on clay-limestone soil. A conversion to organic farming started in 2021.
Château Loupiac-Gaudiet 2018 is a blend of Sémillon (95%) and Sauvignon Blanc (5%). The grapes are botrytised, which concentrates the sugar inside the berries while revealing the aromatic power of the fruit.
Grape varieties: 95% Sémillon, 5% Sauvignon Blanc
