Aniello - Trousseau - Parcela Unica de 1932 2015
Bodega Aniello is located in Rio Negro, in Patagonia, Argentina. It was founded by Raffaele De Angelis, from Vinicola De Angelis in Sorrento, Italy. The winery is located in a desert climate, with a wide temperature range that allows the natural acidity in the grapes to be preserved. The strong winds of Patagonia caused the grapes to develop a thicker skin, favouring the concentration of tannins, colour and diversity of aromas. The estate spread over 55 hectares cultivated with Malbec, Trousseau, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. Due to the low ambient humidity, the grape-growing can be made almost fully organically.
This wine is made from Trousseau planted in 1932 in a plot of 0.8 hectares. The grapes are hand-harvested and alcoholic fermentation takes place in small bins with indigenous yeasts, followed by malolactic fermentation in used French oak barrels. After the fermentations, the wine was racked into egg shaped concrete vats for maturing and fining.
Grape variety: 100% Trousseau
