Domaine Charlopin Tissier is located in Morey-Saint-Denis , in the Côte des Nuits in Burgundy . It was created in 2013 by Yann Charlopin (the son of Philippe Charlopin in Gevrey-Chambertin) and his wife Justine Tissier . After studying oenology in Beaune and spending time producing wine in Tasmania, Sancerre and Chablis, Yann Charlopin returned home to work alongside his father. When the opportunity presented itself to acquire part of the vines of Justine's family in Marsannay, and with a clear vision of the wines he wanted to create, Yann could not pass up the opportunity to embark on his account. Today, the couple operates 4 hectares of vines conducted in organic farming, not certified .

The Gevrey Chambertin Vieilles Vignes is made from Pinot Noir . Gevrey Chambertin is widely considered to be one of the communes producing the most structured wines in Burgundy.
