Comte Georges de Vogüé - Musigny Grand Cru - Cuvée Vieilles Vignes 2019
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is located in Chambolle-Musigny, in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy . The estate has been passed down from generation to generation since the 1400s. Today, it is owned by Claire and Marie de Ladoucette. Since 2021, the cellar master has been Jean Lupatelli, replacing François Millet after 35 years of vinification at the estate. The vineyard is worked in a reasoned fight with respect for the environment. The wines are produced in several appellation areas: Chambolle-Musigny, Musigny Grand Cru, Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Amoureuses... Self-proclaimed "Domaine de Musigny", the estate owns 7.2 hectares of the vineyard of Musigny Grand Cru (the largest landowner in the climat of 10.80 hectares) including the entire parcel of Petit Musigny at the southern end, which directly overlooks the wall and the castle of Clos de Vougeot. The steep slopes and the stony and crumbly soils of Musigny, as well as the minimal interventionist techniques put in place, combine to produce a very fragrant wine.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
