CLOS DU MARQUIS 2007
The Clos du Marquis , created in 1902, finds its origin in the Petit Clos adjoining the Château de Léoville , residence of the Marquis de Las Cases. Le Clos du Marquis comes from the great terroirs of the Saint-Julien appellation which were not systematically part of the cadastre of the former Domaine de Léoville. These terroirs are located slightly further west and are surrounded by prestigious Crus Classés, in particular Second Crus of the Saint-Julien and Pauillac appellations: Léoville-Poyferré, Léoville-Barton, Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande... It belongs to the Domaines Delon, owner of Léoville Las Cases, Château Potensac (Médoc) and Château Nénin (Pomerol).
Le Clos du Marquis 2007 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (58%), Merlot (35%), Cabernet Franc (5%) and Petit Verdot (2%) .
Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot
