Chateau LEOVILLE LAS CASES 2017
Château Léoville-Las-Cases is located in Saint-Julien-Beychevelle , in the Bordeaux region. It is classified as a Second Grand Cru Classé in the Médoc and Graves Classification of 1855. The estate has a history dating back to the mid-17th century, when it was part of a much larger estate. During the French Revolution the estate was split in two with a small section becoming Château Léoville-Barton. In 1840, the original estate was divided again, creating Château Léoville-Poyferré. Pierre-Jean, Adolphe and Gabriel de Las Cases were the successive heirs of the property until 1900, when Théophile Skawinski took part of the estate and became its manager. Léoville-Las-Cases is now run by the same family since the end of the 19th century and is today represented by Jean-Hubert Delon , sole owner of the Château and owner of Château Potensac in the Médoc and Château Nénin in Pomerol .
Léoville-Las-Cases 2017 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (79%), Cabernet Franc (11%) and Merlot (10%) . The 2017 vintage produced wines with great maturity.
