Portofino Gin is made in the Liguria region of Italy . The Pudel family has lived and worked in Portofino for generations. Grandfather Klaus Pudel was a much admired man for saving the famous village from destruction during World War II, and later in the 1950s and 1960s as host of some of Europe's finest parties. era of La Dolce Vita. The Gin is produced in an old Italian distillery located a few hours from the estate. Each batch of gin is crafted using a combination of traditional and innovative methods : from an ancient Italian copper pot still used to distill the local liquor and grappa to state-of-the-art technology that produces vacuum distillation, preserving the aromas of the most delicate plants. It is distilled and bottled in Italy using natural ingredients, with no added sugar, artificial flavors or preservatives. The botanicals used are juniper berry, lemon, rosemary, lavender, marjoram and sage . The bottle is inspired by the port of Portofino, where colorful houses and green hills decorate the landscape between sky and sea.
