Domaine de Clovallon - Pinot Noir 2021
The Domaine de Clovallon is located in Bédarieux , in the Pays de l' Hérault in the Languedoc . It has belonged to Catherine Roque since the late 1980s and she now manages the estate with her daughter Alix . The Domaine has 12 hectares, entirely conducted in certified organic farming . Catherine Roque was one of the first to grow Pinot Noir in Languedoc, after pleading her case with ONIVINS, which accepted, after conclusive experiments, to authorize this grape variety in the production of Pays d 'oc. The vineyard is located on an altitude terroir in the Orb Valley and a limestone cliff to the south isolates the vineyard from the hot air masses of the coast, thus the grape varieties not usual in the region (Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay…) adapt perfectly to it. Catherine Roque has also owned the Mas d'Alezon in Faugères since 1997.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
