Domaine Trapet - Marsannay 2020
Domaine Trapet Père et Fils is made up of two estates: one in Burgundy , in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin and one in Alsace . The company in its current bi-regional configuration was formed when Andrée Trapet inherited her parents' vineyards in Alsace in 2002. Her husband Jean-Louis Trapet has been running Domaine Trapet Père et Fils in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1990, when which he succeeded his father Jean. This last property is one of the great historic estates of the Côte de Nuits. The vineyard covers 16 hectares, dominated by plots in Chambertin (1.9 hectares), Latricières-Chambertin and Chapelle-Chambertin. Both estates are operated in biodynamic viticulture .
The Marsannay Rouge is made from Pinot Noir harvested from three plots with an area of 1 hectare and 50 ares. These plots in Marsannay were acquired from 1979, and are located in the Grasses Têtes and Grand Poirier climates.
