Clos du Jaugueyron - Margaux 2017
Le Clos du Jaugueyron is located in the Médoc , in Bordeaux . At the age of 20, Michel Théron left the Minervois and his parents' vineyards and settled in the Médoc, where he met Stéphanie Destruhaut . They now bring together 16 plots in the Margaux and Haut-Médoc appellations. Organic and biodynamic agriculture have gradually imposed themselves on all the plots. The estate's vines are on two main terroirs: Sur Macau for Haut-Médoc and Sur Arsac for Margaux; diverse geological profiles and different climates.
The grapes are harvested manually, at good maturity with a low use of sulfur in the cellar. The vats of different capacities make it possible to isolate the plots and the grape varieties. The vinification is carried out in concrete vats and the wines are then aged in barrels for around 12 months and then again in vats before bottling.
Le Clos du Jaugueyron Margaux is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (20%) and Cabernet Franc (10%) with an average age of the vines of 29 years. Aging is carried out on fine lees for 12 months in barrels with 80% new barrels from 5 coopers.
Grapes: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc
