Domaine Maxime Magnon - Campaigns - Magnum 2018
Domaine Maxime Magnon is located in the Hautes Corbières , in the Languedoc . Originally from Burgundy, he was not born with the hereditary rights to a Burgundian estate but has been developing his own wine in the Corbières for about ten years. He bought plots of old vines on an abandoned vineyard and rents an old garage. He cultivates 9 plots on 11 hectares with steep vineyards at high altitude. He has achieved organic farming certification , but also incorporates biodynamic practices into the management of his vineyard. Like his friends and mentors, Didier Barral (in Faugères) and Jean Foillard (with whom he studied in Morgon), he is a naturalist at heart and seeks to create a harmonious ecosystem in his vineyard.
Campagnès is made from century- old Carignan (95%) planted with Grenache Noir, Syrah, Grenache Gris, Macabou and Terret . After the manual harvest, the whole bunches are fermented at low temperature. The wine is aged in oak barrels .
Grape variety: 95% Carignan, 5% Grenache Noir, Syrah, Grenache Gris, Macabou and Terret
