Chateau LANGOA BARTON 2013
Château Langoa Barton is located in the Saint-Julien appellation, in the Bordeaux wine region. It was classified Third Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. The Langoa property was sold to Hugh Barton, Irish merchant, in 1821. Today, the Langoa Barton vineyard covers 20 hectares on a gravelly and clay subsoil.
Château Langoa Barton 2013 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (30%) and Cabernet Franc (5%) . After the manual harvest, the harvest is de-stemmed and then sorted. The alcoholic fermentation lasts 7 to 10 days with some pumping over. The maceration lasts 3 weeks in barrels. The wine is aged between 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels , 60% of which are new.
