Chateau CANTENAC BROWN 2015
Château Cantenac-Brown is located in the Margaux appellation, in the Bordeaux wine region. It was classified Third Grand Cru Cl assé in the classification of 1855. It was founded in 1806 by John-Lewis Brown, a merchant of Scottish origin. The property has been owned by the Le Lous family since 2019, and is managed daily by Tristan Le Lous and José Sanfins. The duo has started a program to build a new cellar entirely in raw earth, carried out by the committed architect and pioneer of eco-responsibility, Philippe Madec. The Cantenac-Brown vineyard extends over 48 hectares in the Margaux appellation, with a few plots in the Bordeaux appellation.
The 2015 Cantenac-Brown is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (61%) and Merlot (39%) . The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels , 60% of which are new.
