Domaine Jean-Marc Bouley - Pommard 2019
Domaine Jean-Marc and Thomas Bouley is located in Volnay, in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy . The family estate was founded in 1919 by François Bouley. In 1974, his son Jean-Mars created his own estate, which he added to his father's vineyard in 1984. In 2002, Thomas Bouley joined the property and took over the management ten years later. The 8.80-hectare vineyard is divided into 29 plots on the communal appellations of Volnay, Pommard and Beaune for red wines, with a cuvée from Bourgogne Aligoté whose vines are over-cultivated in the commune of Meursault.
The Pommard comes from Pinot Noir whose vine is 30 years old. The grapes are harvested manually from three plots. Vinification is carried out in open vats and maceration lasts 17 to 21 days. The wine is aged for 20 months in oak barrels , 30% of which are new.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
