Domaine Sant Armettu - Rosumarinu White 2022
Domaine Sant Armettu is located in Propriano, in southern Corsica . It was founded in 1964 by Lucien Seroin and his son Paul. The estate takes its name from the Saint Hermit, who according to legend healed with plants. The story of this Saint Hermit deeply inspired Gilles Seroin , 4th generation of winegrowers in his family. In 1996, succeeding Paul, his father, he was able to develop his heritage by exploiting the full potential of his vineyard located between the sea and the mountains. Today, the estate has 40 hectares of vines, representing island grape varieties such as Rimenese, Genovese, Biancu Ghjentile, Minustellu, or Aleaticu. Part of the plots is certified organic, the rest is still in conversion . For more than 10 years, Domaine Sant Armettu has also been producing olive oil.
Rosumarinu Blanc is made from Vermentinu grown on the slopes of Tizzano composed of clay-granitic arenas. The harvest is destemmed, sorted and then put into direct pressing. The wine is aged in stainless steel vats on fine lees with stirring.
Grape variety: 100% Vermentinu
