Château Grand Renouil - Ponty Vineyards 2016

Les Vignobles Ponty is located in the Libournais in Bordeaux . It is a family estate that has existed since 1905 when Victor Ponty, the great-grandfather from Corrèze, settled in Fronsac to produce and sell wine. Five generations have succeeded and the vineyard has been managed since 2019 by Hélène Ponty , the daughter of Michel Ponty who was born on the property and started working there at the age of 21 alongside her father and her older brother. .

Château Grand Renouil disappeared for a while during the Revolution, but reappeared in 1938 thanks to the Ponty family. The Merlot vines they planted there are now over 80 years old and give the wine such richness and depth that it is often nicknamed Pétrus de Fronsac . The wine is made entirely from Merlot and aged in barrels .
