TEQUILA - Calle 23 - Criollo - 49.3%
Tequila Calle 23 is produced in the region of Jalisco, Mexico . It is made by one of the few female Tequileras; Sophie Decobecq , a young French engineer.
Calle 23 begins with a rigorous selection of blue agave plants, coming from the region of "Los Altos de Jalisco" (the highlands), between the city of Tepatitlan and Arandas. In this zone, agaves benefit from hot, sunny dry spells followed by heavy rainy seasons, and fertile, mineral-rich soil that produces richer, higher quality agaves, taking 7 to 9 years to reach their full maturity.
This Tequila is made from the “Criollo” variety of agave.
