Roberto Voerzio - Dolcetto d'Alba - Priavino 2021
The Roberto Voerzio estate is located in La Morra, a village in the heart of the Langhe, in Piemonte , Italy . The estate was founded in 1986 when Roberto inherited 5 hectares of vines from his father. Since then he has been one of the most acclaimed producers of Barolo wine. Today the estate covers 8.5 hectares of vineyards around La Morra, with high planting densities producing miniscule yields. There are 6 different plots in a range of Barolo crus: Brunate, Cerequio, Capalot, La Serra, Pozzo dell'Anunziata and Sarmassa di Barolo, all of which are sources of individual cuvées. He also produces some Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba and Langhe Nebbiolo.
Dolcetto d'Alba Priavino is made from Dolcetto from the town of La Morra, harvested in mid-September. Fermentation takes place in steel vats and aging lasts 10 months in steel vats .
