Agriverde - Red Riseis 2020
The Agriverde winery is located in Villa Caldari, in Ortona, in the Abruzzo region of Italy . Agriverde is one of the most important vineyards in central Italy. It was founded in 1830 by the Di Carlo family but the turning point came under Giannicola Di Carlo , who in the mid-1980s saw the future of his winery as organically managed. Today, the Di Carlo family operates vineyards in the municipalities of Caldari, Ortona, Rogatti, Frisa and Crecchio, in the hills of Teatine, with all the estates certified in organic farming since 1991. They produce a wide range of wines at base of Montepulciano, Chardonnay, Trebbiano, Pecorino… The wines are distributed under different brands such as Riseis, Piane di Maggio or Solarea.
The red Riseis is made from Montepulciano . Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with a long maceration. The aging lasts 8 months in French oak barrels .
