Domaine Pierre Boisson - Burgundy White 2020
Boisson-Vadot / Anne & Pierre Boisson is a group of Burgundy estates based in Meursault , Burgundy . The wines are produced in collaboration in the cellar of the Boisson family , leading winegrowers in Meursault for more than two centuries. The 10-hectare estate was run by Bernard Boisson-Vadot until 2016 and his son and daughter, Pierre and Anne Boisson , have taken over since the 2017 vintage. Some wines are bottled under the Boisson-Vadot label , while some parcels of the estate are attributed to Pierre Boisson and Anne Boisson and the wines bear their name.
Pierre Boisson 's Bourgogne Blanc is made entirely from Chardonnay with an average age of 35 years and from four plots in Meursault; “Les Belles Côtes”, “Les Vaux”, “Les Gelerands” and “Les Coutures” . The bunches are pressed followed by static settling for 12 hours. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are entirely carried out in barrels. The wine is aged for 18 months in barrels, 10% of which are new , with 4 stirrings during ageing. The wine is bottled by gravity.
