Grattamacco - Bolgheri Rosso 2021
Podere Grattamacco is located between Castagneto Carducci and Bolgheri, in the Tuscany region of Italy . The estate was founded in 1977 by Piermario Meletti Cavallari and since 2002 has belonged to the Castello Colle Massari wine group. The estate covers an area of 80 hectares of which 29 hectares are planted with vines and 4 hectares with olive trees. Bolgheri benefits from a dry climate and significant temperature variations. Unlike other Tuscan wine appellations such as Chianti, Sangiovese continues to be grown, but less and less frequently; the main blends are made up of Bordeaux grape varieties.

The grapes come from 10 hectares of vines with an average age of 20 years, located at an altitude of 100 meters. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in open oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation occurs in one-wine and two-wine barrels where the wine is aged for 8 months . It is aged in the bottle several months before being marketed.
