There Grosperrin House was created by Jean Grosperrin who arrived in Cognac in 1991 after having worked as a farm worker, shepherd and sheep shearer in the summer. In 1992, he became a country broker and set out to meet small farms in the region, looking for the rarest lots. But in 1999, he took a new turn and bought a few barrels of old cognacs. Combined with its three stills, the story of Grosperrin Cognacs begins. In 2004, it was his son Guilhem who takes over the company. It builds up stocks and enriches the cellars exceptional Cognacs. Also, he select plots and initiates contracts with wine growers . In 2012, he went to meet the foreign importers and thus develops a network of amateurs and collectors.
This Must Mutated with Cognac (MMC) is made from the Ugni Blanc grape variety, and was produced by Grosperrin for Marée Haute, a wine merchant and wine salesman on the Ile d'Oléron.
