Clos de la Barthassade - Les Ouvrées - Magnum 2021
Le Clos de la Barthassade is located in Aniane, in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc . The estate was founded in 2014 by Burgundians Hélène and Guillaume Baron . They trained with renowned winegrowers such as Dominique Derain, Sylvain Pataille, at Domaine de la Pousse d'Or and Domaine de Trévallon. The estate of approximately 13 hectares is made up of several islands of vines planted on limestone scree terraces, located in the communes of Montpeyroux, Jonquières and Saint-Saturnin. The couple implements natural single-plot vinification, without added yeast or sulfur. The vineyard is worked in organic farming and certain tasks are punctuated by the biodynamic calendar.
Les Ouvrées is a blend of Syrah (50%), Mourvèdre (35%) and Grenache (15%) . The wine is aged for 22 months in tuns and demi-muids .
