Château Massereau - Cuvée M 2009
Château Massereau is located in Barsac , in the Bordeaux wine region. The estate has belonged to the Chaigneau family since 2000. Jean-François, who chose to be a winegrower, brought his brother Philippe, from the world of tennis, into his passion. The estate covers 21 hectares, of which 11 hectares are planted with vines in a protected ecosystem. The duo produces natural wines ; little use of copper to preserve microbial life and living soils, vinification without oenological input, doses of sulfur between 10 and 35 mg/L for all wines.
Cuvée M is made from fully botrytized Muscadelle and Sémillon . The harvest is done grain by grain, in 8 to 12 successive sortings. The berries are pressed in an old-fashioned wooden ratchet press. The wine has an aging potential of 10 years or more.
