BALLY RUM - Carafe - Grande Cuvée du Siècle - 100 years - 45%
The J. Bally brand was founded by Jacques Bally , in Martinique . He produced his spirit in a manner similar to that used to create French eaux-de-vie. Bally distilled fresh sugarcane juice to produce a distinct selection of rums. In 1917, Jacques Bally decided to age his rums in oak barrels. In 1924, the rum was packaged for the first time in the brand's characteristic triangular bottles . The distillery closed in 1989 and was transferred to the Distillerie du Simon where the rum is produced today.
This decanter was released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the distillery. The Grande Cuvée du Siècle is a blend of the 1929, 1939, 1955, 1975 and 2008 vintages.
